Web Browser Cleanup
The deletion of remnant web pages from your browser is critical to the performance of your computer. Many web sites leave pieces of data to aid in the loading of visited pages by storing graphics as well as user names and other pertinent information pertaining to your visit to the web site. Over time this information builds up and rather than helping you load pages faster it actually slows the system down. The following procedure is for Internet Explorer and will differ on alternate web browsers like Fire Fox.
Open Internet Explorer
Click on Tools, Internet Options
Click on Delete (in IE 6 you will have to select from each of the 3 deletion options. Click delete on each of the selection and click OK – remember to select the check box to delete offline content)
In IE 7 you will receive a selection window for the objects you wish to have deleted.

Select Delete All and Yes (it is recommended that you check the box that says, also delete files and settings stored by add-ons.)
Please be patient the process could take some time depending on the frequency you perform the action and the amount of time you spend on the web. |
