KenputerGuru Offers Total Computer Service and Repair. Hidden “temp” Files Click start Click Run (if using Vista, and Run is not listed, just type run in the search box at the bottom of the menu and select the application from the top of the list) Type %temp% and click OK
A window with the user temp files opens. None of the files located in this folder are critical to the function of your computer and all can be deleted. Click anywhere in the window and press CTRL-A to select all of the files and press Delete to delete all of the files. There may be files that are currently being used by system services that will not delete while the system is in normal mode. It is recommended that you restart your system in Safe Mode and follow these steps to remove these files. **Note** Always remember to empty your recycle bin after removing temp files. Temp files are stored for each user on the system and should be removed within each user account. |
